Hello and good morning fellow bloggers and artisans!!! I had a tiny little meltdown when I discovered a huge mistake.
Well, as you know I tend to be a little of a perfectionist, (I am working on it but I still have it in me), so when I discovered a very bad mistake at the beginning of the last round (because that is the way it always has to be), I decided I was NOT going to rip back or unravel ANYTHING not even a stitch, so I put down Little Pet and went to sleep.
I got up this morning and just couldn’t leave it that way it looked horrible and that is when I decided I was going to repair it. So take a look at these photographs and tell me if you spot it:
It looks good huh? I am very happy with myself now 🙂
So never say Never, just go to sleep, rest your mind and wake up to tackle the problem with a fresh outlook, it works. That is what I have learned in the last 24 hours 🙂
P.S. you want to know how I did it? just look at the middle photograph.
Well this is all for now, hoping that you are repairing instead of unraveling, that is a bad word 🙂
Have a fun and productive day today!!! See You Soon…..
It looks magnificent! I understand “perfectionitis” completely. Sometimes I wonder whether I am crocheter, or unraveler. lol!

You are the clever one!! Sometimes the overnight rest (and thinking outside the ‘box’) work wonders!!! Works for quilting, too! LOL!

This is exactly what I advise…go sleep on it. When I get beyond frustrated…the best solution. It looks like it will turn out beautiful.

Well done! I used a similar method when I noticed a treble missing in the border for my hexagon blanket.
I have a similar dilemma with my CAL blanket in that last night I saw that I have made a mistake on one of the joins where four squares meet in the central part of the blanket so I get a bit of a hole. Not sure if to try to sew it or see if I can undo and redo.

Oh gee No!! Just sew 🙂 it takes a split second to make a mistake, so it should take a split second to repair, no more unraveling lol

You made me laugh and you are probably right. My son said something similar today re the time one might take to put on screen protectors. Took me ages!!
