I KNEW I COULD…

Hello and good morning fellow bloggers and artisans!!! I had a tiny little meltdown when I discovered a huge mistake.

Well,  as you know I tend to be a little of a perfectionist,  (I am working on it but I still have it in me),  so when I discovered a very bad mistake at the beginning of the last round  (because that is the way it always has to be),  I decided I was NOT going to rip back or unravel ANYTHING not even a stitch, so I put down Little Pet and went to sleep.

I got up this morning and just couldn’t leave it that way it looked horrible and that is when I decided I was going to repair it.  So take a look at these photographs and tell me if you spot it:11202013 00811202013 009

No more tears

No more tears

It looks good huh? I am very happy with myself now 🙂

So never say Never, just go to sleep,  rest your mind and wake up to tackle the problem with a fresh outlook, it works. That is what I have learned in the last 24 hours 🙂

P.S. you want to know how I did it? just look at the middle  photograph.

Well this is all for now, hoping that you are repairing instead of unraveling, that is a bad word 🙂

Have a fun and productive day today!!! See You Soon…..

It looks magnificent! I understand “perfectionitis” completely. Sometimes I wonder whether I am crocheter, or unraveler. lol!

  8. This is exactly what I advise…go sleep on it. When I get beyond frustrated…the best solution. It looks like it will turn out beautiful.

  12. Well done! I used a similar method when I noticed a treble missing in the border for my hexagon blanket.
I have a similar dilemma with my CAL blanket in that last night I saw that I have made a mistake on one of the joins where four squares meet in the central part of the blanket so I get a bit of a hole. Not sure if to try to sew it or see if I can undo and redo.
